Coolgradient’s GRADIENT AI is a no-code tool that helps data centers cut energy use. Join us as a Sales Engineer to scale our global green-tech impact and power a sustainable digital future.

Job description

The digital world never stops. Every video you stream, call you make, swipe, like, or product you buy online runs through data centers, and those consume an enormous amount of energy. That’s where Coolgradient comes in.

We’re a green-tech start-up on a mission to make our digital lives more sustainable. Our solution, GRADIENT Perceptive AI, is a no-code, plug-and-play optimization tool that helps data centers operate more efficiently, sustainably, and cost-effectively. Already in use across the globe, GRADIENT has saved tens of thousands of GWh in energy. And we’re just getting started!

As we scale up, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to help expand the reach of GRADIENT and support positive change in how the world powers digital life.

🚀 Your impact zone

As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as a technical specialist helping prospective clients understand the value of our AI platform. Working closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing, you’ll turn complex performance metrics into clear ROI and operational impact.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored product demonstrations that highlight real-time insights and optimization capabilities of GRADIENT.

  • Collaborate on Proof-of-Concept projects with prospective clients, define measurable success criteria (e.g., PUE/energy savings), and lead implementation.

  • Analyze real deployment data to quantify energy, water, and carbon savings, and create compelling, client-specific business cases.

  • Develop and maintain standardized and adaptable ROI tools to demonstrate both short- and long-term value.

  • Act as a technical representative at industry events, webinars, and contribute to marketing materials including whitepapers and case studies.

  • Collaborate with partners (BMS/DCIM/SCADA vendors, OEMs) and internal teams to ensure seamless integrations and continuous product improvement.

Job requirements

🔋 What powers you

We value a variety of experiences and backgrounds. If you meet most of the criteria and are excited about the role, we encourage you to apply.

  • A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, (Industrial) Control systems, Computer Science or a related field.

  • 2+ years in technical sales, solutions engineering, or a related role, preferably with B2B SaaS and enterprise clients.

  • Ability to translate technical features into clear, outcome-focused benefits for both business and technical audiences.

  • Confidence in designing PoC trials, adapting solutions, and troubleshooting technical challenges.

  • Commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment for colleagues, clients, and partners.

  • Nice to have: Background in Data Science, particularly in industrial settings or familiarity with data center operations, risk management, compliance frameworks, or experience with BMS/DCIM/SCADA tools.

🌱 A cool place to build your future

To support your success and well-being, we offer:

  • A competitive salary, with plans underway to introduce an Employee Stock Option Plan so you can grow your stake in the company’s future.

  • Comprehensive benefits including pension, disability insurance, and a holiday allowance to support your well-being both at work and beyond.

  • A flexible hybrid setup. Blend office, home, or remote work, with hours that fit your lifestyle while staying connected with the team.

  • Mobility options including public transport subscription, company bike, or travel reimbursement for your preferred commute.

  • Strong focus on professional growth with plenty of opportunities for development and skill-building.

  • Team activities, meetups, and business events to connect and collaborate.
